About Us:

We are Matt Bores, and Adam Wrigley. We are two people who met online because of our common interest in everybody's favorite robotic sport... combat robotics. We are currently well into our mechanical engineering educations. With 5 years of mechanical engineering education between us, 6 robots and various other random projects, we have amassed a huge amount of knowledge on the topic. We've been observing and working with the sport and the community for over 5 years now and have watched it progress by leaps and bounds through that time. We had to learn the hard way how to do all this, and now we want to help you guys out.

We noticed a gap of information arose after the collapse of the BattleBots TV series. There was no central location for tutorials, event reports, bot blogs, or anything. Many sites, such as the RFL forums, contain a wealth of information. However, these sites are hard to sift through and understand, especially for the beginner. We set out to build a central location for combat robotics, and this is the fruit of our labor. From tutorials to bot blogs, we have all you could ever want in a combat robotics website.

Here at T.i. we know that not everyone is a rocket scientist, and that's ok. We want to do our part in bringing combat robotics back to the mainstream, and we want you to be a part of it. If you want to know more about the individuals behind the text, keep reading:

Adam Wrigley

Hobbies:

Making Techno, Robotics, Roller Hockey, Snowboarding, Video Games

Bio:

I'm from NJ... it's not as bad as you think, but not as good as most people from NJ make it out to be. I go to Lafayette College in Easton, PA and I'll be graduating in Spring 07... that sure is coming up fast. I love robotics, which I guess is pretty obvious, but I also love roller hockey and snowboarding. If I'm not doing hw or at the mountain, I'm probably at the rink. Sometimes I take a break from that for some good old video gaming with my room mates on our 100" home made projector screen. I also like anything that's mechanical, whether it be cars, trebuchets, or power tool drag racing.Oh, and I made this website... spiffy eh?

Hobbies:

Robotics, NL-Texas Holdem Poker, Cars, Fishing (Bass), Making Techno/Trance Music

Bio:

Born and raised in Ohio, and I've lived here all my life. I'm currently
attending The Ohio State University pursuing my degree in Mechanical
Engineering. Although that takes up the majority of my time, I enjoy
various other activities. You can find me playing in tournaments on
Pokerstars to cruising on the highway in my WS6. I have been involved with
robots for about six years now and have competed with three robots over that
time period and have built a total of four. You can check them out on the
build blog for more information. I have a passion for designing things
and putting them together and have been doing so ever since I can remember.

Matt and I have a techno group called DiE oXide, if you want to check us out, click here.
